Coobowie to Edithburgh Bike / Walking Trail and Bird Hide

A lovely solid bike track or walking track that meanders from the southern end of Coobowie along the rugged coastline to Edithburgh. Plenty of bird life and natural bushland on the edge of the cliff face, offering glimpses of the oyster farms and Trougbridge Island in the St Vincent Gulf. Coobowie has a bird hide and this is situated at the causeway offering views of birds feeding on the low water line in the Estuary. Bird identification brochures are available at the Coobowie Shop and at the Caravan Park. 600 native trees have been planted and the area will be a beautiful natural habitat for the land and sea birds once these plants have established. Interpretive signage has been placed in the area to assist visitors and seating to provide rest stops to take in the magnificant views.

Stansbury Seaside Market

The Bake House Arts and Crafts

The Bake House Arts & Crafts in the Edithburgh Museum was established in 1986 as an outlet for local art and craft and a community fundraiser, The Bake House Arts and Crafts shop can now be found in the museum grounds in Edith Street. The shop offers a wide range of local produce arts and crafts with jams, pickles, chutneys, cards, pottery, woodwork, toys, baby clothes, novelties and so much more.
